Hello everyone. the God of Time, Garen here. Just posting to tell you how to change your minecraft skin if you have a "Cracked" version of minecraft(meaning you didn't necessarily pay for your minecraft client ). Step 1. Find or make a skin that you like. If you make your own skin, I recommend using a program called paint.net. If you don't want or don't know how to make you own skin, there multitudes of skins online. You can find skins modeled after different characters(e.g. a skin that looks like Harry Potter). Or you can look at a database of skins. You should he able to find a skin that suits you with a quick google search. Step 2. If you found a skin on the internet, download it. Step 3. Make a copy of said skin and rename only the copy "char" (without the quotations). Make sure it is in .PNG format, but don't add the ".PNG" Step 4. For windows, go to the start menu and search %appdata% For Linux, type %appdata% in your computer search. Go to the folder entitled "Roaming". Proceed to go to the "bin" folder. In the "bin" folder, there will be an executable jar file entitled "minecraft" or "minecraft.jar". Open this using Winrar, 7zip, or another, similar program. Step 5. Within "minecraft.jar", locate and enter the "mobs" folder. Step 6. Find the .PNG file in "mobs" entitled "char.PNG". Replace this with the copy of the skin that you renamed. Step 7. Launch Minecraft, and check your skin. If this tutorial does not work for you, simply reply to this post with your process and what happened. Have a nice day ;D
